Business Analyst – PIM/MDM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in due diligence, portfolio oversight, and investment evaluation by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of land, mineral, and royalty information.

• Connect technical data management with business decision-making among geoscience, legal, finance, and engineering teams.

• Conduct interviews with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and business stakeholders to collect and document future-state requirements.

• Develop and maintain documentation of requirements for upcoming NPS workstreams.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to aid in story writing and confirm the readiness of Jira stories.

• Create field-level metadata, including definitions, ownership information, and downstream mapping.

• Generate process flow documentation to facilitate future-state design and development readiness.

• Record business rules and workflow logic necessary for build-ready delivery.

• Convert business needs into precise, actionable requirements for the delivery team.

• Work in partnership with business, process, and product stakeholders to address open queries prior to the commencement of development.

• Ensure backlog readiness by confirming that requirements are complete and usable before the build process begins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Management, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, functional analysis, or a comparable role.

• More than 5 years of experience in documenting business requirements, process flows, field mappings, and business rules.

• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine requirements.

• Familiarity with SAP, Salsify, or other similar enterprise systems.

• Capability to operate across various business functions and interpret needs beyond a purely technical or data perspective.

• Experience working in agile settings and facilitating requirements readiness for iterative delivery.

• Background in supporting product setup, master data, workflow, or enterprise process initiatives is preferred.

• Experience in supporting requirements readiness for agile or sprint-based delivery models is preferred.

• Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or related enterprise environments is preferred.
