Business Analyst, P&C Insurance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions with business unit leaders, system owners, and end users to determine system requirements and pinpoint existing challenges.

• Involve yourself in the planning, design, development, and rollout of new applications, as well as enhancements to current ones.

• Participate in design sessions aimed at prototyping new systems and improving business processes, operations, and information workflows.

• Contribute to roadmap planning aligned with the goals, objectives, and priorities of assigned business units.

• Follow the systems-analysis scope and parameters to define measurable outcomes and actionable plans.

• Assess operating systems and processes, suggesting solutions or alternatives when necessary.

• Maintain adherence to project timelines while effectively communicating project status.

• Supply systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to development teams.

• Diagnose issues, providing probable causes and feasible solutions.

• Collaborate with Digital Service teams to ensure the compatibility and interoperability of internal computing systems.

• Oversee application testing, which includes end-user acceptance and quality assurance reviews.

• Offer post-implementation support.

• Develop documentation and training materials, and provide orientation and training for end users.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree coupled with 2-5+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in P&C Insurance.

• Certain certifications may be necessary.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions, systems, or products that support underwriting, financial, or claims application systems.

• Familiarity with Duck Creek Policy or similar platforms that aid P&C insurance and digital transformation initiatives.

• Intermediate knowledge of insurance workflows and systems.

• A thorough understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent listening and interpersonal capabilities.

• Logical, efficient, and attentive to detail.

• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products.

• Capable of articulating ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.

• Self-motivated and self-directed.
