This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Create and execute comparative analysis studies on automation systems and software solutions.
• Evaluate capabilities, costs, security, scalability, and alignment with ICE requirements.
• Develop BPMN 2.0 models representing both current-state and future-state financial processes utilizing an AI process mapping tool.
• Present process models to the Government for their review and approval.
• Rank business processes based on parameters such as efficiency, impact, volume, cycle time, error rates, complexity, and risk.
• Sustain a prioritized inventory of processes.
• Conduct process discovery sessions and interviews with stakeholders in ICE financial management.
• Record workflows, business rules, challenges, and data flows.
• Contribute to automation and deployment strategies in accordance with DHS Directive 4300.1, FIPS 140-3, NIST SP 800-53, and FFMIA.
• Discover avenues to enhance automation deployment capacity, intake, prioritization, and release processes.
• Examine processes and data to find data integrity issues and gaps in internal controls.
• Suggest enhancements that bolster audit readiness.
• Identify and document Machine Learning use cases within financial RPA workflows.
• Specify business requirements and success criteria for ML-enabled automation.
• Assist in workforce transition planning, change management, and training recommendations.
• Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs.
• Generate reports, briefings, white papers, and decision documents for Government leadership.
• Ensure traceability between business needs, process models, and recommendations.
• Maintain the project knowledge repository.
• Mentor junior analysts concerning process modeling and analysis standards.
• Safeguard sensitive financial data.
• Execute other related tasks as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or a related discipline is mandatory; equivalent education, training, and relevant experience will be taken into account.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience in business/systems analysis, process enhancement, requirements engineering, or technology assessment.
• Proven experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Background in developing comparative analyses, alternatives analyses, or software trade studies and presenting findings to leadership.
• Experience in modeling business processes with BPMN 2.0.
• Familiarity with prioritizing processes for optimization or automation and defining performance metrics.
• Practical knowledge of Machine Learning and AI concepts and their applications.
• Awareness of DHS Directive 4300.1, FIPS 140-3, NIST SP 800-53, and FFMIA requirements, or the capability to quickly acquire such knowledge.
• Comprehension of data integrity, internal controls, and practices related to audit readiness.
• Proficient with tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, and requirements management platforms like DOORS or Jama.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and configuration management.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a DHS/ICE Public Trust suitability determination and necessary system access.
• Able to complete the required DHS/ICE background investigation.
