Business Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the PMO and various business units on organizational initiatives to evaluate operational needs, regulatory obligations, workflow challenges, and opportunities for enhancement.

• Create comprehensive documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, technical requirements, process diagrams, and user stories.

• Facilitate discovery sessions involving stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical specialists.

• Assist in the development of business requirements, conduct technical feasibility assessments, and evaluate solutions.

• Work with project managers to outline project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.

• Ensure adherence to IT standards, SDLC processes, PMO governance, and security/change management protocols throughout projects.

• Maintain IT documentation, templates, and process guides for consistency and clarity.

• Analyze and map current-state and future-state processes across operational, digital, and back-office systems.

• Suggest technology-driven improvements that elevate member experience, mitigate risks, and promote operational excellence.

• Aid in change readiness planning, develop end-user training materials, and facilitate stakeholder communications.

• Support testing preparation, requirements validation, and quality assurance for IT solutions.

• Foster relationships across business divisions, IT teams, and vendors.

• Act as a liaison between technical personnel and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope and expectations.

• Communicate updates on project status, clarity of requirements, impacts, and decisions effectively.

• Manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Undertake other related responsibilities and special assignments as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma is mandatory; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Expertise in business process modeling, requirements gathering, and data analysis is essential.

• Familiarity with Office 365, SQL, Symitar, and other financial system tools is required.

• Understanding of financial regulations that impact credit unions is necessary.

• Proven experience collaborating with project stakeholders and senior decision-makers.

• Proficiency in Use Case and Wireframe Modeling.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.

• Solid understanding of IT, Business Analyst, and PMO methodologies.

• 0–12 months of experience with exposure to projects or relevant experience as a Business Analyst is required.

• Experience with the Symitar core platform and other Jack Henry products is necessary.

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
