Business Analyst – Fish & Wildlife Ecological Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FWS Ecological Services business processes, requirements, and stakeholder coordination.

• Record the current state of FWS consultation workflows, decision logic frameworks, and template formats.

• Gather and document FWS-specific requirements for species integration, which includes display standards, habitat designation presentation, and consultation routing rules.

• Collaborate with FWS ES staff to acquire the Range Mapping Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure that map production activities align with SOP requirements.

• Facilitate iterative cycles for range map reviews with FWS Ecological Services SMEs and coordinate the sign-off from FWS ES on deliverables.

• Assist FWS ES in reviewing platform user interface (UI) and logic updates, as well as demonstration materials and compliance validation checklists.

• Coordinate the review and acceptance of updated decision logic and consultation package assets by FWS ES.

• Aid in establishing training completion metric targets for FWS ES.

• Act as the main point of contact between the Peraton team and FWS Ecological Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of professional experience, or an Associate's degree and 10 years of professional experience; alternatively, a high school diploma/equivalent paired with 14 years of professional experience.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Proven experience in business analysis or program support related to federal environmental programs.

• Strong comprehension of ESA Section 7 consultation processes and FWS Range Mapping standards.

• Experience in facilitating government stakeholder reviews and securing formal approvals.

• Exceptional written communication skills.

• Experience in producing documentation intended for government use.
