Business Analyst – Field Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gain insights into business objectives, challenges, workflows, and information requirements.

• Plan and execute interviews, workshops, observation sessions, and requirements gathering activities.

• Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and oversee business and functional requirements.

• Draft user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

• Trace requirements throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation phases.

• Identify and address gaps, conflicts, dependencies, assumptions, and risks in requirements.

• Document both current-state and future-state business processes.

• Analyze workflows, handoffs, controls, data utilization, and pain points to uncover opportunities for improvement.

• Suggest process or system modifications to minimize manual efforts and enhance user or customer experience.

• Work in collaboration with product owners, architects, developers, configuration specialists, data teams, and vendors.

• Engage in solution reviews, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and release readiness activities.

• Aid business applications through issue analysis, enhancement definition, prioritization, testing, and user communication.

• Develop test scenarios and expected outcomes.

• Coordinate system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Assist with implementation planning, business readiness, data validation, training materials, job aids, and end-user communications.

• Provide support post-implementation and collect feedback.

• Build relationships with business users, subject matter experts, technology teams, and external partners.

• Facilitate meetings and share findings, options, recommendations, risks, issues, and status updates.

• Organize tasks, manage priorities and deadlines, and contribute to project planning and delivery governance.

• Analyze business data, define reporting and dashboard requirements, and support data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and data quality enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, application support, project delivery, or a similar role.

• Proficient understanding of business analysis practices, requirements lifecycle management, process mapping, testing, and solution delivery.

• Experience in independently completing routine and moderately complex analysis tasks.

• Ability to convert business needs into clear requirements and effectively communicate with both business and technical audiences.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, facilitation, organization, and written communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and work efficiently in a cross-functional environment.

• Proficiency with standard productivity, diagramming, collaboration, and work-management tools.
