Business Analyst, CAD, Polylining, Space

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Provide CAD and Polylining services during the implementation of IWMS/CAFM software

• Continuously maintain CAD drawings

• Integrate CAD drawings with the CAFM/IWMS platform

• Evaluate drawing files in AutoCAD and/or field redline drawings for accuracy

• Execute routines to identify missing polylines, duplicates, gaps, and overlaps

• Assign unique identifiers to spaces

• Generate _Arch, _Floor, and _Poly drawings

• Create polylines and label room numbers

• Document necessary polyline modifications

• Connect Polylines and SpaceID Blocks

• Upload drawings and published background files to client account servers

• Publish Architectural, Furniture, and Column files

• Establish and manage client master drawing libraries

• Import CAD Space Codes, Areas, and Coordinates from drawings

• Populate CAFM/IWMS platforms with space categories, types, standards, room numbers, names, and organizational data

• Document required additions or alterations to attribution in FMS or other CAFM systems based on field redlines

• Support the implementation of IWMS enhancements

• Execute other assigned duties and responsibilities

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or relevant work experience

• At least 3 years of practical experience in CAD drafting, CAD/CAFM operations, space planning, or a related technical field

• Extensive knowledge of CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems

• Proficient understanding of polylines, blocks, layers, Xrefs, room numbering, area calculations, drawing cleanup, and CAD drawing standards

• Excellent skills in MS applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Word

• In-depth understanding of CAD/CAFM/IWMS systems and experience utilizing their data to execute projects

• Experience managing multiple CAD/CAFM/IWMS implementations and projects concurrently and remotely

• Capability to review and verify CAD drawings for gaps, overlaps, duplicate entities, missing or incorrect polylines, and other drawing discrepancies

• Practical experience in integrating CAD drawings with CAFM/IWMS platforms, mapping space data, linking room identifiers and attributes, and updating space-related information

• Experience in uploading and publishing drawings, maintaining master drawing libraries, managing drawing versions, and ensuring consistent and accurate space data across systems

• Competence in preparing technical documentation, analyzing and validating data in Excel, and maintaining QA checklists and process documentation

• Ability to effectively utilize Claude for technical documentation, Excel data analysis, drafting and troubleshooting AutoLISP/Python scripts, automating repetitive CAD and data management tasks, and developing CAD quality assurance checklists

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
