Business Analyst, SAP Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gain insights into their needs, processes, and requirements.

• Utilize SAP Finance expertise to assess business processes and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Collect, document, and verify business and functional requirements.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, SAP teams, and other technology groups.

• Assist in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation tasks.

• Engage in workshops, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings.

• Identify gaps in business processes and propose effective solutions.

• Aid in the development and execution of test scenarios and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Help identify, analyze, and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle.

• Maintain documentation related to projects and requirements.

• Provide updates to stakeholders regarding project status, requirements, risks, and dependencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise technology settings.

• Solid functional knowledge and practical experience with SAP Finance (FI).

• Deep understanding of finance-related business processes and their support within SAP.

• Proven track record in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

• Experience in complex enterprise or consulting environments.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating efficiently with distributed teams.

• Comprehensive functional knowledge of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Financial Accounting, financial reporting, and the integration of SAP Finance with other business functions.

• Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, functional analysis, business process analysis, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, UAT and testing support, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Must be able to routinely work until at least 3:00 PM EST, ensuring significant overlap with Canadian business hours.
