Business Systems Analyst III – SAP PMMO/Project Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the functional lead for SAP manufacturing and project-based operations.

• Take ownership of the design, configuration, support, and ongoing enhancement of SAP Project Systems, Production Planning, and associated integrations.

• Provide support for a complex, program-driven manufacturing setting.

• Collaborate with teams in Manufacturing, Program Management, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering.

• Enhance planning accuracy, cost visibility, and execution efficiency from engineering release to shop-floor completion and project closure.

• Function as the subject matter expert for SAP Project Manufacturing.

• Identify and spearhead process improvements to minimize lead time, enhance schedule adherence, and improve inventory and cost precision.

• Maintain and improve MRP/MPS, capacity planning, routings, BOMs, the handoff from engineering to manufacturing BOM, and production order execution.

• Assist in project cost planning, commitments, WIP, and variance analysis in collaboration with Finance and Program Controls.

• Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process workflows.

• Convert business requirements into SAP configuration or enhancements.

• Configure and support PS, PP/PP-PI, MM, QM, and CO integration.

• Establish test strategies, create test cases, and oversee unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience as an SAP functional or business systems analyst.

• More than 4 years in SAP PS and PP within a manufacturing context.

• Familiarity with SAP Project Systems, Production Planning, and related integrations.

• Experience with WBS-based production, project-specific stock, make-to-order/engineer-to-order, and project settlement.

• Knowledge of MRP/MPS, capacity planning, routings, BOMs, the engineering-to-manufacturing BOM handoff, and production order execution.

• Experience in project cost planning, commitments, WIP, and variance analysis.

• Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.

• Ability to translate requirements into SAP configuration or enhancements.

• Experience in configuring and supporting PS, PP/PP-PI, MM, QM, and CO integration.

• Capability to define test strategies, write test cases, and manage unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori.

• Preferred: Background in aerospace, defense, or other regulated, program-driven manufacturing.

• Preferred: SAP, PMP, CBAP, or Lean/Six Sigma certification.
