Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the requirements strategy for enterprise-level initiatives spanning programs and value streams.

• Collaborate with senior business leaders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to identify, clarify, and prioritize intricate business requirements.

• Manage backlogs at the product level and assist in roadmap development.

• Assess business value, strategic goals, interdependencies, risks, team capacity, and investment priorities.

• Act as a strategic intermediary among business stakeholders, development teams, and leadership.

• Conduct discovery sessions, requirements workshops, prioritization meetings, and ongoing feedback mechanisms.

• Examine business requirements and convert them into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and technological solutions.

• Supervise UAT strategy, test planning, acceptance governance, and business readiness evaluations.

• Create product documentation, which includes business cases, capability models, process flows, decision logs, and requirements governance materials.

• Advocate for Agile and SAFe best practices as well as continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist with additional team tasks and responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, specifically supporting complex enterprise or healthcare projects.

• Proven success in Agile and SAFe environments, including PI planning, product backlog management, portfolio operations, and managing cross-team dependencies.

• Practical experience in analyzing, interpreting, mapping, and validating EDI data within complex enterprise workflows.

• Experience in supporting IT modernization or integration projects within the Department of Veterans Affairs or a related federal healthcare agency.

• Practical experience in mapping APIs.

• Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7 and FHIR.

• Background in microservices, cloud-native architectures, enterprise systems, and software development lifecycles.

• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Capability to influence senior leaders and collaborate efficiently across business and technical teams.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Successful completion of a background check is required for all selected candidates.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance, including necessary fingerprinting when required for the position.

• Preferred certifications include CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, SAFe, Certified Scrum Product Owner, or other relevant business analysis or Agile certifications.

• Experience with enterprise requirements and Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred.

• Additional experience in federal healthcare interoperability, data governance, regulatory compliance, process optimization, or enterprise transformation initiatives is preferred.
