This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for an agile software development practice focused on an environmentally conscious Federal Government client.
• Collect and analyze business requirements.
• Convert business requirements into functional specifications that align with project objectives.
• Evaluate business processes, systems, and data to identify enhancements and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and create project plans.
• Identify opportunities for business process improvements and propose solutions.
• Create business cases and feasibility studies for initiatives and process enhancements.
• Generate comprehensive business requirements documents and functional specifications.
• Work closely with developers and project managers to ensure that solutions fulfill business requirements and are delivered punctually and within budget.
• Collaborate on the design of user interfaces and user experiences.
• Assist in the development and implementation of information systems.
• Conduct user acceptance testing.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops.
• Create and maintain project plans, status reports, and project documentation.
• Aid the project manager in tracking timelines and deliverables.
• Regularly communicate progress and issues to stakeholders.
• Develop training materials and provide training to end-users as necessary.
• Over 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Preferred experience with process mapping and modeling tools such as Visio or JIRA.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Skills in requirements elicitation and documentation techniques.
• Experience in business process modeling and mapping using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, and BPMN notation.
• Proficiency in data modeling and analysis techniques, including entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of project management tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana.
• Experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or JIRA.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos.
• Basic technical knowledge of software development and database technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
