Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the identification of requirements and conduct business analysis for key Terafina initiatives.

• Gather, evaluate, confirm, and document enterprise-level business, functional, data, integration, workflow, control, and reporting requirements.

• Convert strategic goals into defined scope, current and future-state processes, user stories or requirements, acceptance criteria, business rules, traceability, and implementation considerations.

• Carry out enterprise impact assessments, gap analyses, dependency evaluations, and risk analyses across Terafina's capabilities, processes, integrations, controls, data, operational procedures, and experiences for customers or associates.

• Lead cross-functional workshops and decision-making forums.

• Keep business analysis documentation and requirements traceability updated throughout the project lifecycle.

• Collaborate with stakeholders from business, technology, risk, compliance, operations, project management, product development, vendors, and the Enterprise Team.

• Assist with testing and readiness for implementation, including acceptance criteria, business validation, UAT contributions, defect triage, and stakeholder approvals.

• Evaluate change impacts and operational readiness, including procedures, controls, training, communications, support models, data or reporting requirements, and monitoring after implementation.

• Provide updates to leadership and project stakeholders regarding scope, requirements progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, readiness, benefits, outcomes, and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in banking and business analysis.

• Required: Business analysis or project management certification such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, or PMP.

• Required: A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, digital platforms, or related business fields.

• Required: At least 3 years of business analysis experience supporting intricate, cross-functional, or enterprise-level strategic projects.

• Required: Proven experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, process flows, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, impact assessments, and maintaining requirements traceability.

• Preferred: Experience in supporting solution evaluation, testing, UAT, implementation readiness, change impacts, and post-implementation validation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with enterprise business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, data, architecture, project management, and vendor teams.

• Strong competencies in business analysis, requirements gathering, process modeling, facilitation, and requirements management.

• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, option assessment, and decision-support skills.

• Capacity to align strategic objectives with business capabilities, processes, requirements, risks, and measurable outcomes.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, workshop facilitation, and executive communication skills.

• Ability to persuade cross-functional stakeholders, clarify ambiguities, and drive decisions without direct authority.

• Knowledgeable in banking account origination, onboarding, servicing, workflow, integration, data, risk, and control concepts.

• Proficient in business analysis, requirements, process mapping, collaboration, testing, and project tracking tools.

• A reliable internet connection for remote work is necessary; preference for cable or fiber connections, as mobile hotspots are not acceptable.
