Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate client interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to gain insights into business needs, processes, exceptions, and anticipated outcomes.

• Convert business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process diagrams, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Identify gaps, constraints, dependencies, and conflicting requirements, and assist in finding viable solutions.

• Maintain project documentation, including requirements, meeting notes, decision logs, and other relevant materials.

• Develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and guide clients through the testing and validation phases.

• Showcase product features and align capabilities with the documented business requirements.

• Create training materials for clients and lead training sessions.

• Act as a consistent point of contact for clients regarding requirements, testing, process decisions, and training.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to enhance the overall client relationship.

• Work in partnership with Project Management, Development, Quality Assurance, and Product teams.

• Support implementation milestones from the discovery phase through to go-live.

• Develop reusable internal documentation, such as process guides, configuration notes, and knowledge base resources.

• Investigate relevant direct selling practices to support recommendations and client solutions.

• Adhere to security and data-handling practices that comply with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or in a similar capacity, preferably in software implementations or SaaS environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Proven experience in documenting functional specifications, user stories, process flows, or comparable artifacts.

• Strong analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to handle multiple priorities and adjust to changing timelines in a dynamic environment.

• Experience working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other project management or collaboration software.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted tools for requirement documentation, research, and workflow optimization.

• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL is preferred.

• Experience in the direct selling or MLM industry is a plus.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

• Ability to comply with security and data-handling practices that align with SOC 2 and PCI-DSS standards.
