Building Certifier

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and authorize building development applications, primarily for Class 1a and 10a structures

• Provide building certification services in compliance with Queensland laws, council regulations, and the National Construction Code

• Respond to Customer Requests when expert building advice is necessary

• Review and decide on building development and concurrence agency applications

• Manage building compliance documentation and issue final completion certificates

• Oversee daily council administration, reporting, and formal correspondence

• Offer specialized technical advice to the public, council units, and stakeholders

• Perform the role remotely without the need for physical on-site inspections

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid QBCC Licensed Building Certifier Level 3 licence, at a minimum

• Comprehensive understanding of the Building Act, Queensland Development Code (QDC), and National Construction Code (NCC)

• Capability to assess and determine building development and concurrence agency applications

• Proven experience in processing building compliance documentation and issuing final completion certificates

• Strong skills in daily council administration, reporting, and formal correspondence

• Proficiency in providing specialized technical advice to the public, council units, and stakeholders

• Previous experience in Local Government is highly advantageous
