This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Strategically planning, coordinating, and executing build, deployment, and release processes within intricate Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
• Overseeing and ensuring quality assurance of releases throughout the complete release lifecycle.
• Planning and executing deployments, rollback scenarios, and operational handovers.
• Managing, operating, and enhancing Microsoft infrastructures.
• Automating provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes utilizing PowerShell and PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Designing, implementing, and operating automation solutions based on Ansible.
• Assisting in the administration and integration of Linux systems within hybrid infrastructure settings.
• Administering and managing virtualized platforms built on VMware.
• Ensuring consistency and reproducibility in build and deployment processes.
• Analyzing and addressing faults in build, deployment, and release processes.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and release documentation.
• Collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, operations, and project teams to facilitate successful releases.
• Demonstrated experience in build, deployment, and release management within complex IT infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Proficient understanding of Identity & Access Management, Microsoft SQL Server, SharePoint, and Exchange.
• Excellent skills in automation using PowerShell, preferably including PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Practical experience with Ansible for the automation of configuration, deployment, and operational processes.
• Familiarity with the administration and integration of Linux systems.
• Robust experience with VMware-based virtualization environments.
• Experience in planning and executing releases, deployments, rollbacks, and operational handovers.
• Good comprehension of release, change, and configuration management processes.
• Background in standardizing and automating recurring IT operations processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a structured, quality-focused working style.
• Effective communication and coordination skills along with experience in collaborating with diverse technical stakeholders and business units.
• Experience with IT projects, operational environments, and organizational conditions within the public sector.
