This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Review and assess casualty submissions to pinpoint key exposures, coverage requirements, and placement possibilities.
β’ Evaluate risks and create marketing strategies to obtain competitive coverage solutions.
β’ Identify suitable carrier and wholesale market alternatives based on risk characteristics, underwriting appetite, and client requirements.
β’ Prepare and present submissions to carriers.
β’ Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage enhancements with carrier partners.
β’ Present and clarify coverage options, exclusions, and recommendations to retail brokers and internal stakeholders.
β’ Offer technical guidance and market insights to retail agents throughout the placement process.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with carrier underwriters and market partners.
β’ Act as a liaison between retail brokers and insurance markets to ensure prompt communication and issue resolution.
β’ Collaborate with producers, brokers, and support staff.
β’ Oversee opportunities from submission through quoting, binding, and policy issuance.
β’ Keep precise documentation, correspondence, and transaction details in agency management systems.
β’ Coordinate follow-up activities with carriers and brokers.
β’ Assist with renewals, remarketing efforts, and strategies for account retention.
β’ Stay informed about casualty products, market trends, underwriting appetite, and carrier capabilities.
β’ Recognize opportunities to enhance coverage placement, strengthen relationships, and expand existing business.
β’ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members when appropriate.
β’ Engage in continuing education, licensing, and professional development activities.
β’ 5+ years of experience in wholesale brokerage, underwriting, or commercial casualty insurance.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of casualty coverages, including General Liability, Excess Liability/Umbrella, Products Liability, and other complex casualty risks.
β’ Proven experience in marketing accounts and negotiating directly with underwriters and carrier partners.
β’ Ability to independently assess risks and make informed placement recommendations.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Strong organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively.
β’ Self-motivated and capable of working efficiently in a remote setting.
β’ State Property & Casualty License and/or Surplus Lines License.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
β’ Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, ARM, or CRIS (preferred).
β’ Experience in wholesale brokerage within E&S or specialty casualty markets (preferred).
β’ Background in handling middle-market or complex casualty placements (preferred).
β’ Established relationships with carriers in casualty markets (preferred).
