Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Process supplier invoices by verifying coding and approvals, and prepare payment runs for authorization.

• Generate client invoices, allocate received payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and resolve billing inquiries.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment platforms while investigating any discrepancies.

• Prepare payroll inputs, verify timesheets and leave information, and assist with processing and reconciliations.

• Keep ledgers up to date, maintain supporting schedules, and prepare reconciliations for the Financial Controller's review.

• Ensure accurate documentation across both entities, encompassing expenses and intercompany transactions.

• Streamline recurring tasks using Xero, automation, and suitable AI tools.

• Collaborate closely with the Financial Controller across two expanding Australian businesses.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated bookkeeping experience supporting Australian businesses, preferably across multiple entities.

• Proficient hands-on skills in Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Xero certifications would be a plus.

• Prior experience with payroll in Australia.

• Working knowledge of Australian GST.

• Confidence in using Google Sheets or Excel for organizing data and investigating discrepancies.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail, dependable follow-through, and the ability to identify issues early.

• Capability to work independently in a remote team and manage deadlines across two businesses.

• Reliable internet connection and availability to overlap with Australian business hours.

• Experience in an agency, professional services, or SaaS business would be beneficial.
