This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on clients’ steam power boilers and related equipment.
• Attend customer locations to address issues and deliver exceptional service.
• Specialize in steam boilers, auxiliary equipment, and environmental control systems.
• Tailor field service assignments to various customer facility conditions while adhering to quality and budget standards.
• Provide independent recommendations and insights on the commissioning, operation, maintenance, efficiency, and reliability of fossil-fired steam generator systems and equipment.
• Conduct and oversee inspections, performance testing, and related projects.
• Offer consultation on equipment maintenance and operational practices.
• Draft comprehensive technical reports and succinct recommendations for clients.
• Act as the company's representative in addressing and reporting intricate technical and logistical challenges.
• Execute engineering site assignments as directed by the Area Service Manager.
• Uphold customer expectations and enhance the reputation of the Technical Services team.
• Cultivate technical expertise and sustain Technical Services knowledge and competencies.
• Engage in extensive travel, temporarily reside at customer sites, and be readily available for on-call duties.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Associate’s Degree in Power Plant Technology, or equivalent field experience up to 5 years in maintaining and servicing steam generating equipment.
• Must have authorization to live and work in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel 75–80% with air and ground travel on short notice.
• Practical mechanical aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to climb, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency in grasping and performing repetitive motions.
• Capacity to work in confined spaces, including fitting through an 18-inch-diameter hole.
• Excellent close visual acuity.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Tolerance for high noise levels.
• Capability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to convey complex issues clearly.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and unexpected challenges.
• Willingness to work in industrial settings, remote areas, or international locations.
• Familiarity with the maintenance and operation of boilers, pulverizers, and auxiliary components.
• Offer contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening, where applicable.
