Bodily Injury Adjuster – Represented/Litigation, Complex/Severe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into automobile accidents that involve either single or multiple vehicles, leading to property damage and/or bodily injuries, including cases with attorney/litigation involvement.

• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages associated with claims.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the claims process.

• Maintain communication with customers and attorneys via phone calls, emails, and text messages.

• Negotiate fair settlements for injuries with all parties involved.

• Carry out thorough damage assessments and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.

• Utilize phone, email, and video conferencing to assist customers and provide updates on claims.

• Assess and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.

• Implement legal and business-standard methodologies and negotiation strategies in challenging and complex scenarios.

• Leverage estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.

• Accurately and promptly document claim activities in the claims system.

• Safeguard company finances by adhering to policy agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling Casualty Represented or Litigation third-party claims is required.

• Preferred experience in handling Casualty Claims in California and/or the Northwest or Southwest States.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.

• Capability to work independently and remotely while effectively managing time.

• Knowledgeable in insurance policies, coverage, and liability assessment.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with innovative tools and platforms used for claims evaluation.

• Preference for candidates in the Pacific time zone; candidates from Mountain and Central time zones may be considered if they are willing to work from 8 am–4:30 pm PST or 9 am–5:30 pm PST.

• This position is not available to residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico.

• A successful background check is required.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is essential.

• An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be necessary within 60 days of hire, if applicable.
