This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Investigate automobile accidents involving one or more vehicles that result in property damage and/or personal injury, including attorney and litigation involvement.
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages.
• Deliver customer service through phone calls, emails, and text messages.
• Utilize innovative platforms and tools to assess claims.
• Negotiate fair and timely injury settlements with clients, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
• Manage a high caseload of pending cases.
• Conduct thorough reviews of damages and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.
• Relay claim information and progress to clients through their preferred communication methods.
• Implement legal and business-standard methodologies in the evaluation and negotiation of settlements.
• Utilize estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
• Execute policies in accordance with policy agreements.
• Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation of claims in the claims system.
• Prior experience handling represented third-party casualty claims is essential.
• Experience in OH or CT claims is highly preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience managing moderate Bodily Injury claims is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
• Capability to work independently and remotely while efficiently managing time.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, liability assessment, and state regulations.
• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with innovative tools and platforms for claims evaluation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
• Candidates must reside in either the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
• A dedicated and private workspace free from distractions is required.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50 MB and upload speed of 5 MB is necessary.
• A background investigation is required.
• An adjuster and/or appraiser license may be required within 60 days of hire, depending on the office/area.
• This position is not available to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.
