This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• This is a remote work opportunity for physicians, featuring a caseload tailored to your availability.
• Our panel of physicians consists of independent contract reviewers (1099) who are compensated on a per-case basis.
• We seek specialists to evaluate the medical necessity of treatment requests and, in appeals, the medical necessity of services that have been previously denied.
• The average duration for most reviews is 15-20 minutes, allowing for the possibility of completing several cases within an hour.
• Training and onboarding can be finalized in under one week, enabling you to begin earning compensation for reviews while continuing your active practice.
• A current, unrestricted Connecticut Medical License
• Active Practice
• Board Certification in PM&R/Pain Management
• This independent consultant role provides schedule flexibility and predictable work hours. You have the autonomy to select services and case types, determine volume, and conduct your work based on your availability.
• No doctor/patient relationship is established, and no treatment is provided. The role is limited to offering advisory-only opinions.
• The typical turnaround time (TAT) ranges from 1-5 business days, depending on the review level. While same-day cases are uncommon, they can occur. Dane Street keeps you informed about required turnaround times and meticulously coordinates all administrative tasks to optimize your focus on clinical decision-making.
• Dane Street provides a streamlined case flow and an intuitive work portal. We handle all communication, organize and categorize medical records, support all administrative processes, prepare cases comprehensively, and ensure the quality and prompt delivery of all determinations and reports.
• A chronological listing of medical records, along with all treatment guidelines utilized for determinations, is available in an easy-to-access, click-to-view format.
• In instances where peer-to-peer calls are necessary (for adverse determinations), Dane Street’s peer coordinators will secure provider availability.
• Dane Street offers initial training and maintains an ongoing point of contact for any inquiries regarding the completion of reviews.
