
BIR-Accredited Tax Specialist, Trainer – PH-Based CPA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Provide precise guidance regarding Philippine taxation, BIR regulations, and compliance obligations.
• Clarify and elucidate tax laws, BIR Revenue Regulations, Revenue Memorandum Circulars, Revenue Memorandum Orders, and other related tax issuances.
• Offer advice on income tax, VAT, percentage tax, withholding taxes, expanded withholding tax, compensation tax, and other relevant Philippine taxes.
• Identify compliance requirements, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
• Assess tax-related processes and propose enhancements for accuracy and compliance.
• Address technical tax inquiries with clear and well-supported responses.
• Provide practical training on Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, and accounting subjects.
• Create and maintain tax training materials, presentations, SOPs, and practical guides.
• Conduct research and disseminate updates regarding Philippine tax laws and BIR issuances.
• Assist with tax filing and offer technical guidance on BIR regulations and applicable taxes.
• Collaborate with contractors, onshore specialists, support teams, and Australian partners.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A CPA license or BIR accreditation is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Philippine taxation and BIR compliance.
• Prior experience in tax consulting, accounting, BIR compliance, or tax training.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to convey technical tax concepts in a straightforward and practical manner.
• Philippine CPA license is highly preferred.
• BIR accreditation or significant BIR-related professional experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in corporate tax training is highly valued.
• Familiarity with handling BIR audits or tax assessments is preferred.
• Experience in developing tax training programs and materials is highly preferred.
• Self-provided equipment requirements: computer with 8GB RAM, Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (12th generation or latest), 512GB HDD/SSD, Windows 11 Home or Pro.
• Self-provided accessories: power backup, secondary/external monitor, noise-cancelling headset, webcam.
• Minimum internet speed of 40–50 Mbps for both download and upload.
• BIR self-registration and necessary government contributions.
• NBI or Police Clearance.
• Any government-issued identification.
• Availability to work from 7 AM to 4 PM MNL time, Monday to Friday.
• Completion of an English proficiency test and a personality assessment is required.
