This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.
• Lead and coordinate activities of the central laboratory across global clinical studies.
• Serve as the primary connection between clinical study teams, central laboratory partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage human biological samples throughout the entire clinical trial lifecycle.
• Oversee the operational setup, monitoring, and management of central laboratory activities.
• Act as the main point of contact between study teams and central laboratory partners.
• Coordinate the management of human biological samples from study initiation to study close-out.
• Develop and uphold Human Biological Sample Management Plans and Sample Risk Assessments.
• Establish and maintain processes for sample flow, testing activities, and laboratory data delivery.
• Oversee the chain of custody for samples, laboratory operations, and issue resolution across global laboratory networks.
• Manage laboratory budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Data Management, Laboratory Vendors, Human Genetics, and other cross-functional teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert to drive continuous improvement in laboratory and sample management processes.
• Lead operational meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical laboratory operations and conducting clinical trials.
• Strong comprehension of central laboratory operations within clinical research development.
• Excellent knowledge of ICH-GCP and GCLP regulations.
• Demonstrated project management skills in complex, cross-functional settings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English.
• Proven history in project planning, execution, and issue resolution.
• Experience in managing laboratory vendors and external partners.
• Strong background working within global, matrixed, and multicultural organizations.
• Experience in leading operational meetings and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
