This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.
• Promote and sell a growing range of high-value products and adaptable solutions that address key aspects of biologic drug, gene therapy, and cell therapy production.
• Oversee strategic biopharmaceutical accounts while driving business opportunities related to consumables and systems throughout the entire bioprocess workflow.
• Formulate sales strategies and plans for the designated territory to enhance growth and profitability.
• Identify leads and opportunities to create and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Market and sell upstream, downstream, and single-use products by clearly communicating product differentiators and value propositions.
• Conduct market research, manage significant customer projects, and spearhead new product launches and development initiatives.
• Execute marketing strategies, including road shows, seminars, promotions, and the creation of sales collateral.
• Ensure adherence to sales processes while managing leads, sales activities, and the sales funnel using Salesforce.com.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with key accounts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide accurate sales reporting and forecasting within the CRM system.
• Maintain connections with market infrastructure partners and uncover new sales and business opportunities.
• Represent customer and market insights internally.
• Share information regarding products, markets, and competitors with Business and Market Development.
• Assist in the creation of sales collateral.
• Provide Manufacturing and QA/QC operations with data for forecasting, handling complaints, and conducting facility audits.
• Carry out field sales activities, including customer visits, technical presentations, laboratory demonstrations, and quote negotiations.
• Attend, manage, and follow up on trade show activities to generate leads.
• Lead or engage in projects and assignments focused on professional development.
• Drive strategic system and consumable opportunities, such as filtration, TFF, chromatography, and single-use technologies.
• Support customer projects related to scale-up, technology transfer, validation, and commercial manufacturing.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, process development, procurement, and QA teams.
• Lead commercial discussions and coordination for large-scale capital equipment and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for competitive displacement and formulate strategic account penetration plans.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific field (biology/biochemistry) or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Cell Culture, Chromatography, and Filtration.
• Familiarity with upstream and downstream processing is advantageous.
• Demonstrated history of successful sales and experience managing key accounts.
• Prior experience managing significant biopharmaceutical or CDMO accounts is preferred.
• Highly valued experience with system business, single-use technologies, and process equipment.
• Experience supporting intricate customer projects, CDMO environments, and capital equipment opportunities is greatly appreciated.
• Exceptional analytical, forecasting, and management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Solid technical and business insight.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management and influencing.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently to meet defined objectives.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively within global, cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to align with client schedules.
• Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce.com.
• Proficient in English, encompassing listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 80% and occasionally internationally.
• Proven success in completing projects exceeding 5 million USD.
• Strong strategic account management skills and the ability to influence complex customer decision-making processes.
• Ability to manage long sales cycles and multi-functional customer projects.
