This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Respond to service requests to assess, diagnose, and repair intricate biomedical equipment for customers.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and environmental assessments.
• Foster strong customer relationships and enhance satisfaction through exceptional service.
• Guide team members on GE policies, procedures, hospital regulations, and necessary documentation.
• Establish proactive daily communications with customers to ensure issues are resolved and followed up on.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and colleagues.
• Execute GE/customer facility agreements while supporting client and business goals.
• Mentor and assist technicians with both basic and advanced repairs.
• Deliver efficient services to all accounts in the designated area, including task delegation and administrative responsibilities.
• Share best practices, provide mentorship, and offer team support.
• Participate in on-call duties.
• Record repair actions and submit reports and summaries on schedule.
• Manage tools, spare parts, and testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
• Maintain an approved inventory of parts.
• Oversee vendor service delivery processes in alignment with GE policies.
• Stay updated on current standards, codes, and procedures through formal training.
• Assume site leader responsibilities when assigned, including directing BMET activities, engaging with customer leadership, and participating in Safety Committees.
• Comply with Health and Human Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and other regulatory standards.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with 4+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment; OR equivalent military education and 4+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment; OR a High School Diploma/GED and 6+ years of experience in servicing medical equipment.
• Skilled in utilizing electronic documentation tools such as iPad and iPhone.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other technological applications.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with customers at all levels, including nurses, doctors, and leadership.
• Experience collaborating with internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-oriented service process.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly to customers.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to implement solutions through effective problem solving.
• Must meet GEHC's standard background check, including a drug test post-offer.
• Must adhere to customer access policies, including necessary immunizations and additional drug tests or background checks when required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment visas will not be sponsored.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Capacity to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and possess good hand and finger dexterity.
