This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Respond to service calls to assess, diagnose, and repair customers' basic biomedical equipment.
• Execute scheduled maintenance and conduct safety and environmental inspections.
• Assist seasoned technicians with both basic and complex repairs and solutions.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with teammates and colleagues.
• Adhere to GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete all necessary documentation.
• Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up.
• Implement GE/customer facility contracts to support business objectives.
• Deliver efficient service to accounts within the designated area.
• Share on-call duties once adequately trained.
• Document repair activities and submit reports and summaries punctually.
• Properly maintain and care for spare parts, tools, and testing equipment, including calibration.
• Keep technical knowledge updated regarding standards, codes, procedures, and safe usage of medical equipment.
• Utilize manuals, technical support, FaceTime, and online resources to address PM inquiries.
• Meet Health and Human Services, environmental health and safety, regulatory, quality, and compliance standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of work orders, service reports, time and expense reports, PM activities, purchase orders, and other responsibilities.
• Ensure test equipment is tracked and calibrated 100% on schedule.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues to customers in an accessible manner.
• Must pass GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Must adhere to customer access policies, including required vaccinations and additional drug tests or background checks as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Must frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Must reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck, and possess good hand and finger dexterity.
• Specific vision capabilities may include color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
• Willingness to work after hours or on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• Must comply with GEHC's quality, compliance, regulatory, documentation, and calibration standards.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
