This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct technical tasks related to the installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of OEM medical devices and systems.
• Carry out thorough technical inspections and keep precise records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and all work conducted.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, address unplanned repairs, and implement necessary equipment upgrades.
• Install and uninstall OEM equipment; perform site assessments and engage with customers and contractors as required.
• Foster and sustain customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
• Prepare and submit expense reports in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Educate customers on the fundamental operation and usage of medical devices.
• Promptly respond to customer queries in writing, in person, or via telephone.
• Escalate customer concerns and unresolved product issues to service management following established protocols.
• Advocate for service contracts and support the Sales team in selling service agreements within the designated territory.
• Adhere to Probo’s safety, quality, and productivity standards and policies.
• Accurately and timely complete records for installation, deinstallation, repair, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee inventory management, maintain accurate records, and promptly return unused and defective parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance in a timely manner, provide expedited on-site responses, and reduce equipment downtime.
• Report directly to the VP of Service Delivery - DI.
• Operate primarily in hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities, with administrative responsibilities conducted from a home office.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering, or a related field; military equivalency is acceptable.
• Prior mechanical or electronics experience in a field service, hospital environment, or military context.
• Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, software operating systems, and network technology.
• Experience working collaboratively with internal team members and external customers within a solution-oriented service framework.
• Familiarity with standard electronic testing equipment, such as digital multimeters and safety analyzers.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, illustrated parts diagrams, and technical manuals related to biomedical and imaging instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must successfully pass a motor vehicle record check.
• Capability to comply with hospital credentialing standards.
• Must fulfill customer/facility requirements, which may include drug testing and immunizations when necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, ability to work independently, and professional communication abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, often on short notice.
