Biomed Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Carry out installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of OEM medical devices or systems.

• Conduct technical inspections and maintain precise records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and work carried out.

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance, and necessary equipment upgrades.

• Install and uninstall OEM equipment; perform site assessments and engage with customers and contractors as necessary.

• Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service.

• Complete and submit expense reports in accordance with department guidelines.

• Educate customers on the basic operation and usage of medical devices.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via written communication, in person, or by phone.

• Escalate customer concerns and unresolved product issues to service management following established protocols.

• Promote service contract offerings and support Sales in selling service agreements within the designated territory.

• Adhere to Probo’s safety, quality, and productivity standards and policies.

• Accurately and promptly complete records related to installation, deinstallation, repair, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.

• Manage inventory effectively, maintain accurate records, and promptly return unused and defective parts.

• Perform preventive maintenance on schedule, provide expedited on-site service, and minimize equipment downtime.

• Primarily work in hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities, with administrative tasks conducted from a home office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering, or a related field; military equivalency is acceptable.

• Previous experience in mechanical or electronics roles within field service, hospital environments, or military settings.

• Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office, software operating systems, and network technologies.

• Experience in collaborating with internal team members and external customers in a solution-oriented service process.

• Familiarity with common electronic testing equipment, including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.

• Experience with or capability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, illustrated parts diagrams, and technical manuals for biomedical and imaging equipment.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record; must successfully pass a motor vehicle record check.

• Must comply with hospital credentialing requirements when requested.

• Must complete customer-mandated drug testing and immunizations as required by facility policy.

• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

• Valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
