Biomed Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Execute technical tasks related to the installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of OEM medical devices or systems.

• Conduct technical inspections and maintain precise records of inspections, repairs, calibrations, and equipment work.

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance, and necessary equipment upgrades.

• Install and deinstall OEM equipment, conduct site inspections, and engage with customers and contractors as required.

• Foster and uphold customer satisfaction through outstanding service.

• Complete and submit expense reports in accordance with departmental guidelines.

• Provide training to customers on the fundamental operation and usage of medical devices.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries via written communication, in person, or by telephone.

• Escalate customer concerns and unresolved product issues to service management following established protocols.

• Advocate for service contract offerings and assist the Sales team in promoting service agreements within the designated territory.

• Adhere to Probo’s safety, quality, and productivity standards and policies.

• Accurately and timely complete installation, deinstallation, repair, maintenance, and regulatory compliance records.

• Manage inventory effectively, maintain precise records, and promptly return unused and defective parts.

• Conduct preventive maintenance punctually, ensure quick on-site responses, and minimize equipment downtime.

• Report directly to the VP, Service Delivery - DI.

• Primarily work in hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities, while handling administrative responsibilities from a home office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, biomedical technology, electrical engineering, or equivalent; military equivalency is acceptable.

• Prior mechanical or electronics experience in field service, hospital-based, or military environments.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, software operating systems, and network technology.

• Experience interacting with internal team members and external customers in a solution-oriented service process.

• Familiarity with standard electronic testing equipment, such as Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.

• Experience with or capability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, illustrated parts diagrams, and technical manuals of biomedical and imaging instrumentation.

• Valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.

• Capability to comply with hospital credentialing requirements.

• Ability to meet customer/facility demands, including drug testing and immunizations if applicable.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, independence in work, and professional communication skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, often with short notice.
