This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Oversee engineering initiatives and lead project teams comprising engineers, scientists, and technicians.
• Perform thorough and impartial field investigations and testing related to incidents and/or loss events.
• Examine and assess biomechanical and injury-related factors within engineering projects.
• Deliver technical findings, analyses, and conclusions clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, using layman’s terms.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities.
• Travel for client engagements, fieldwork, marketing, and business development purposes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and project teams about the status and scope of projects.
• Enhance technical and professional expertise through continuous education, workshops, seminars, publications, and professional organizations.
• Achieve or surpass designated performance metrics and objectives.
• Act as an expert witness, including providing testimony in court.
• Guide and train junior engineers.
• Engage in informative presentations for clients and colleagues.
• A Master’s degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• A Ph.D. in Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of industry engineering experience post-academia is required; 10+ years is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of injury biomechanics are essential.
• Prior experience in consulting is necessary.
• A strong interest in accident reconstruction is required.
• Willingness to serve as an expert witness and testify in court is essential.
• Experience in producing technical reports is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
• Strong organizational abilities and a track record of delivering results are vital.
• Proficiency in mathematical and technological skills is needed.
• Competence with software and technical systems is required.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments or situations is essential.
• Willingness and capability to obtain additional licensure and certification are necessary.
• Ability to work remotely or travel to various job sites is required.
• Ability and willingness to travel to different regions, possessing reliable transportation and air travel capability.
• Capability to navigate in and around accident sites is necessary.
• ACTAR certification is preferred.
• Possession of professional engineering licensure or eligibility to obtain one is preferred.
• Experience in managing small projects and teams is preferred.
