Bioinformatics, Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough analyses of multi-omics data derived from organoid systems alongside corresponding normal tissues.

• Evaluate single-cell RNA sequencing, bulk RNA sequencing, proteomics, and metabolomics datasets.

• Partner with experimental wet-lab teams to refine experimental design and optimize protocols.

• Create and execute computational pipelines for data processing, quality assurance, and statistical evaluation.

• Merge SOM-generated data with publicly accessible datasets to benchmark organoid features against profiles of normal tissue.

• Collaborate with experimental teams to interpret findings and assist in protocol enhancement.

• Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and present results at scientific conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.

• Significant experience in single-cell data analysis, including knowledge of Seurat, Scanpy, or similar platforms.

• Strong programming skills in R and Python.

• Experience in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.

• Fundamental understanding of proteomics and metabolomics data.

• Previous experience analyzing organoid datasets is preferred.

• Familiarity with machine learning methods applied to biological data is preferred.

• Knowledge of pathway analysis tools is preferred.

• Understanding of developmental biology principles is preferred.

• Experience with high-performance computing environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with version control systems is preferred.
