Data Scientist – Machine Learning, NLP, Generative AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and validate predictive models utilizing Machine Learning methodologies.

• Implement Natural Language Processing and Generative AI approaches to create data-driven and language-based solutions.

• Engage with Transformers, embeddings, semantic search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.

• Build applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) using frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.

• Assess the quality and dependability of AI applications, taking into account response accuracy, hallucinations, security, privacy, and the application of guardrails.

• Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and continuous enhancement of models and applications in a production environment.

• Adhere to best practices for version control and collaborate with teams engaged in solution development.

• Examine issues, suggest improvements, and contribute to the ongoing advancement of Artificial Intelligence applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Python, SQL, statistics, and Machine Learning.

• Practical experience in constructing and validating predictive models.

• Hands-on knowledge of NLP and Generative AI techniques.

• Familiarity with Transformers and libraries like Hugging Face.

• Experience with embeddings, semantic search, and RAG architectures.

• Understanding of at least one framework for orchestrating LLM applications, such as LangChain or LangGraph.

• Experience in evaluating LLM-based applications with respect to response quality, hallucinations, security, privacy, and guardrails.

• Proficient in Git and capable of supporting the deployment and monitoring of solutions in a production setting.

• Demonstrated technical independence, analytical thinking, and strong communication abilities.

• Experience in processing clinical text and unstructured documents.

• Knowledge of LLM evaluation methods, including LLM-as-a-Judge.

• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, MLflow, Docker, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory.

• Understanding of inference APIs, infrastructure as code, and observability.

• Proficiency in the Azure cloud environment.

• Experience with healthcare data, Brazil’s LGPD, clinical validation, interoperability, and clinical data quality.
