Senior Data Scientist – Temporary Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Gather, clean, and convert data from various sources.

• Maintain data quality and dependability throughout the analytical workflow.

• Develop and apply statistical models and machine learning algorithms to produce insights and predictions.

• Create and manage Power BI dashboards for business leaders and stakeholders.

• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services to oversee and enhance data pipelines and analytical solutions.

• Write and refine SQL queries to extract, analyze, and transform extensive datasets.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Business teams.

• Align data science initiatives with the organization's goals.

• Convert business challenges into effective data science methodologies.

• Provide actionable insights and recommendations.

• Stay updated with relevant tools and techniques in data science, cloud analytics, and data visualization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data processing and analytics.

• Advanced skills in Python for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

• Strong SQL proficiency for querying, data preparation, transformation, and optimization.

• Practical experience in building and maintaining dashboards with Power BI.

• Experience in developing statistical models and machine learning algorithms.

• Background in collecting, cleaning, and transforming data from diverse sources.

• Proven ability to ensure data quality and reliability.

• Capacity to translate business issues into analytical strategies and actionable recommendations.

• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Native proficiency in Spanish.

• B2+ proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
