Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement machine learning models for classification and forecasting purposes.

• Create GenAI products utilizing RAG, vector search, and agents with tool implementation.

• Develop agentic solutions leveraging Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.

• Execute LLM API batch or asynchronous jobs at scale for tasks such as data labeling and metadata extraction.

• Employ SHAP for model explanation and debugging aimed at non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with cloud and data platforms, including Azure, Databricks, GCP/Vertex, or AWS/SageMaker.

• Deliver data science and engineering solutions to forward-thinking companies across various sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query performance optimization.

• Strong expertise in Python programming.

• Experience with PySpark or similar technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in real-world forecasting and classification projects (e.g., demand forecasts, lead scoring, propensity) that are in production; academic coursework is not considered sufficient.

• Practical experience with XGBoost and/or LightGBM in a production environment.

• Utilize SHAP for model explanation and debugging for non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient in hands-on agentic coding with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.

• Experience building GenAI products, including RAG, vector search, and agents with tool functionality.

• Manage LLM APIs at scale, handling batch or asynchronous jobs involving thousands of calls.

• Preference for experience with Azure and/or Databricks; strong familiarity with GCP/Vertex or AWS/SageMaker is also acceptable.
