BIM Specialist – Electrical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the smooth integration of MEP systems into BIM models, ensuring data precision and conflict-free coordination.

• Supervise the coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems alongside other trades and disciplines.

• Model and coordinate MEP systems with subcontractors for accurate representation and outputs ready for prefabrication.

• Leverage modeling, coordination, and spooling expertise for prefabrication across diverse MEP components.

• Establish and enforce MEP-focused BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of MEP BIM models to ensure accuracy and constructability.

• Provide training and mentorship on MEP BIM/VDC workflows and standards.

• Keep abreast of emerging BIM software and tools that impact MEP modeling and coordination.

• Promote collaboration among BIM, field, and project management teams.

• Analyze BIM data and reporting metrics to pinpoint performance trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Review MEP models for completeness and adherence to established standards.

• Generate detailed construction documentation from MEP models according to industry and project specifications.

• Continuously enhance workflows and tools that support model quality and efficiency.

• Prioritize and manage deadlines while proactively mitigating potential delays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in MEP-related BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep).

• Extensive experience in BIM coordination workflows across various MEP trades.

• Familiarity with prefabrication detailing and spooling processes.

• Evolve MEP experience is advantageous.

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to mentor and train others in MEP BIM tools and workflows.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality outputs.

• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and industry certifications is a plus.

• Experience working collaboratively with field, shop, and project stakeholders.
