Billing System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Administer and configure the Comarch BSS platform, focusing on Product Catalog, Billing, and Billing Mediation.

• Oversee platform performance, system jobs, error logs, and runtime issues.

• Investigate data discrepancies and determine their underlying causes.

• Supervise system interfaces and integrations to guarantee seamless end-to-end data flows.

• Assist with backup and recovery processes and solutions that enhance system availability.

• Set up data connections and integrations, taking technical ownership post-implementation.

• Support audit controls, security mandates, and compliance-related tasks.

• Adhere to the BSS roadmap, conduct Proofs of Concept, and maintain technical documentation.

• Participate in platform upgrades, patches, new features, and technical issue resolution.

• Utilize AI tools to assist with log analysis, SQL query creation and optimization, technical documentation, and initial diagnostics of system issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience with Comarch BSS, specifically in Product Catalog, Billing, or Billing Mediation.

• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, record tracking, and troubleshooting.

• At least two years of experience with enterprise system integrations and integration tools.

• Understanding of billing processes, encompassing invoicing, rating, and usage-based billing.

• Familiarity with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases and Elasticsearch.

• Hands-on experience with Linux, REST API testing, and Apache Kafka.

• English language proficiency at B2 level or above.

• Experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, data warehouses, or event-streaming solutions is a plus.

• Knowledge of Apache Cassandra is an additional asset.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes is an added advantage.

• English proficiency at C1 level is an extra benefit.

• Active engagement with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot.
