Billing Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main financial liaison for caregivers during their onboarding process into behavioral health services.

• Evaluate and clarify insurance benefit coverage along with Lyra Health's estimated care costs.

• Address initial financial and insurance-related inquiries, redirecting more complex questions to the family's insurance provider.

• Provide clear payment details and explain the various payment options available.

• Work in conjunction with Care Coordination and Clinical teams to guarantee a smooth onboarding journey.

• Keep precise records of caregiver interactions within Lyra Health's systems.

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and privacy compliance in all communications.

• Assist families in navigating the financial and insurance components of initiating care at Lyra Health.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare customer service, patient access, medical billing, or insurance verification (experience in pediatric or behavioral health is preferred).

• Familiarity with health insurance terminology, benefit structures, and prior authorization protocols.

• Experience with the Prior Authorization cost-control process.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously in a remote setting while balancing multiple priorities.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
