Bilingual Virtual Urgent Care, Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider – NP, PA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide virtual acute care to members experiencing emergent or critical illnesses.

• Diagnose intricate medical conditions.

• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the Care OnDemand team to establish care plans.

• Conduct Care OnDemand visits, focusing on the evaluation and diagnosis of acute illnesses.

• Prescribe suitable medications.

• Evaluate quality-of-care interventions, social needs, home health requirements, and DME necessities.

• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, pharmacies, clinical nursing, social work, family members, and caregivers.

• Utilize the electronic health information system during visits and provide feedback for interface enhancement.

• Offer support to clinical nurses through weekend on-call coverage in designated areas.

• Assist in the development of new clinical and organizational programs and initiatives.

• Incorporate innovative practices in virtual care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience as an APP, ideally in acute settings, urgent care, emergency medicine, and/or primary care or internal medicine with a strong focus on acute management.

• Willingness to work four 10-hour shifts weekly, including one weekend shift per month, from 11am to 9pm EST.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

• For Nurse Practitioners: valid and in-good-standing RN and APRN licenses.

• For Physician Assistants: a valid and in-good-standing Physician Assistant license.

• Required role licensure and certification must be in good standing.

• Ability to obtain licensure in the requested states within 90 days of the hire date.

• Willingness to acquire licenses in additional states as necessary.

• Experience in primary care, internal medicine, urgent care, emergency room, and/or geriatrics.

• Familiarity with conducting visits via telehealth video platforms.

• Experience in managing acute and chronic disease exacerbations, including CHF exacerbations, diabetic emergencies, COPD exacerbations, and hypertensive crises.

• Strong commitment to ongoing practice in acute care.

• Adaptability, a desire to learn, and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Flexibility in scope of practice and a readiness to embrace new challenges.
