
Bilingual Telehealth Counselor, Mandarin Chinese/English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Perform thorough evaluations of clients’ presenting concerns
• Develop treatment strategies aimed at addressing identified challenges
• Coordinate referrals to long-term therapy and/or community resources when clinically suitable
• Manage a caseload of 8 sessions daily, conducting 45-minute sessions with 15 minutes allocated for documentation
• Commit to 20 hours per week, with availability for potential weekend and/or evening shifts
• Employ brief, solution-oriented interventions
• Ensure the safety of clients at risk of self-harm or harm to others
• Direct clients to long-term treatment utilizing benefit plans and/or community resources
• Keep accurate and current documentation for all client interactions in the ComPsych system
• Enhance professional expertise through the review of telehealth counseling trends, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical counseling experience is required
• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology is mandatory
• An independent clinical license is required for British Columbia
• Experience in delivering direct clinical services and solution-focused therapy
• Familiarity with treatment issues and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services
• Outstanding communication abilities, a focus on customer service, and sound clinical judgment
• Ability to think quickly, possess high energy, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor
• Proven multitasking and critical-thinking capabilities
• Access to high-speed internet and a workspace that is free from distractions, disruptions, and noise
• Capability to appear on camera for work-related training, meetings, and events
• Ability to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods while working on a computer
• Must operate remotely from British Columbia and hold a valid license in British Columbia
