This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as the main contact for all patient-related aspects of the Patient Support Program.
• Ensure timely enrollment of patients into the Patient Support Program.
• Provide both inbound and outbound phone support, including calls for maintenance and adherence.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, and physicians to secure documentation for optimal reimbursement coverage.
• Investigate issues with public and private insurers and assist with employer escalations.
• Review patient charts, prior therapies, and tests to aid physicians with coverage documentation.
• Offer therapy guidelines and program education to both patients and physicians.
• Gather information and perform patient financial eligibility assessments.
• Coordinate services by liaising with physicians' offices, pharmacies, infusion/injection service providers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor patient services to ensure swift and ongoing therapy access.
• Review, analyze, and validate patient information for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain case-management service levels and track program KPIs.
• Ensure accurate patient and clinic information is recorded in the CRM system.
• Promote teamwork with internal patient support teams.
• Identify coverage challenges and escalate information to the PSP Supervisor.
• Advocate for patients and follow up until coverage decisions are made.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding patient, client, and corporate information.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
• Completion of post-secondary education; healthcare experience is beneficial.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, the appeals process, and support/consultation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with both private and public reimbursement frameworks, systems, and processes is a plus.
• Capability to work remotely with a quiet, private home office setup is essential.
