This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile, +6 more countries.
• Ensure accurate information is maintained across accounting, CRM, email, and calendar systems.
• Professionally communicate via email with internal team members and, when required, clients.
• Gather, compile, and summarize financial data to generate reports as necessary.
• Oversee accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, monitoring outstanding balances, and following up with clients regarding amounts owed.
• Reconcile operating, trust, and other bank accounts on a monthly basis.
• Accurately and currently maintain and balance the general ledger.
• Manage assigned financial deadlines and responsibilities independently, without frequent reminders.
• Uphold professional and technical proficiency to ensure reports are timely, accurate, and consistent.
• Assist with trust administration and billing tasks.
• Primarily collaborate with internal team members while addressing limited client calls as necessary.
• Compile and provide financial data needed for bi-monthly payroll processing.
• Enter adjusting journal entries and aid in the preliminary preparation of financial statements.
• Handle accounts payable activities, including reviewing, coding, and recording approved payments.
• Accurately record financial data and transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain precise financial records for the firm’s operating and trust accounts.
• A minimum of three years of professional bookkeeping experience.
• At least three years of experience utilizing QuickBooks Online.
• Knowledge of law firm trust accounting and trust account reconciliation.
• Proficient English communication skills, especially for professional email correspondence.
• Availability from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with Lawmatics.
• Experience using RingCentral.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.
• Previous bookkeeping experience in a litigation law firm is preferred.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
