Big Data Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tunisia.

📋 Description

• Administer, maintain, and evolve Big Data platforms based on Cloudera.

• Manage and sustain distributed environments using Apache Cassandra, ensuring availability, stability, and performance.

• Monitor the health of systems.

• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve incidents.

• Configure and manage security and authentication mechanisms using Kerberos.

• Execute and coordinate updates, upgrades, and version management of platform components.

• Ensure the availability, scalability, security, and performance of data environments.

• Automate administration, deployment, and maintenance processes.

• Utilize Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployments and automation.

• Collaborate with technical teams on incidents, infrastructure changes, and platform evolution.

• Apply best practices in administration and operation to maintain robust, secure, and production-ready Big Data environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Reside in Spain.

• Fluent level of Spanish.

• Strong experience as a Big Data Administrator in enterprise and production environments.

• Experience in the administration and maintenance of Cloudera platforms.

• Practical experience with Apache Cassandra, including administration, maintenance, and operation of distributed systems.

• Solid knowledge of architecture and functioning of distributed systems.

• Experience with configuration, administration, and resolution of incidents related to Kerberos.

• Experience performing upgrades, system updates, and version management in Big Data platforms.

• Knowledge of automation and CI/CD processes.

• Experience using Azure DevOps and its CI/CD tools for deployments and automation.

• Ability to analyze and resolve issues related to performance, availability, and stability of data platforms.

• Knowledge of best practices regarding security, scalability, and high availability in Big Data environments.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
