BI Engineering, Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance the Business Intelligence engineering team.

• Supervise the design, development, and implementation of BI systems and solutions.

• Set SLAs for data availability and accuracy.

• Create and maintain dashboards and reports utilizing Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.

• Conduct discovery processes based on business requirements, including reviewing production code and documentation, user testing the application, and collaborating with engineering and system owners.

• Connect external data sources and develop long-term data pipelines to the primary data warehouse.

• Design and implement intricate SQL/dbt data models for dashboards and ad hoc analysis.

• Automate dbt/SQL models using Apache Airflow, MWAA, or dbt Jobs.

• Design, build, and maintain Airflow DAGs for ETL pipelines.

• Support production deployment using CircleCI or GitHub Actions.

• Provide peer code review feedback on GitHub pull requests.

• Lead, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.

• Contribute to the development of long-term data strategy and roadmap.

• Establish data governance, quality control, and documentation standards.

• Manage projects utilizing Kanban, Agile, or Scrum methodologies.

• Perform and document advanced analyses within large-scale data warehouse environments.

• Travel to EverCommerce headquarters in Denver, Colorado, for five business days each quarter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.

• Five (5) years of experience as a Marketing Analyst, Marketing Analytics Manager, Data Science Program Manager, BI Engineer, or a closely related role.

• Two (2) of the five (5) years of experience must be in a managerial or team lead position within a BI engineering/data warehousing or a similar industry.

• Proven knowledge and prior experience with Snowflake, AWS Redshift, or Databricks.

• Proven knowledge and prior experience with Power BI, Looker, or Tableau.

• Proven knowledge and prior experience with Confluence, Notion, or Google Docs/Drive.

• Proven knowledge and prior experience with Apache Airflow, MWAA, or dbt Jobs.

• Experience in designing and implementing complex data models using SQL and dbt.

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining DAGs for ETL pipelines in Apache Airflow.

• Experience leading, mentoring, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather reporting and data requirements.

• Experience with CircleCI or GitHub Actions.

• Experience with Kanban, Agile, or Scrum methodologies.

• Must possess U.S. employment authorization.

• Must not be in F-1 or H-1 status or otherwise require employer sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization.
