This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and uphold efficient leave processes and compliance measures throughout the organization.
• Oversee daily operations of internal leave analysts and third-party administrators.
• Assess vendor performance, data accuracy, and service delivery standards.
• Administer the complete process for medical, family, military, and personal leaves.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, including FMLA and ADA.
• Act as a subject matter expert on intricate regulatory issues and reasonable accommodations.
• Provide guidance to HR and leadership teams on complicated cases and legal compliance matters.
• Review and revise leave and accommodation policies in response to legal updates and best practices.
• Conduct audits and suggest improvements to processes to reduce organizational risk.
• Create and implement enterprise training programs on leave and accommodation protocols.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits, legal, Employee Relations, Safety, Occupational Health, and HRIS teams.
• Communicate with managers and HR partners regarding upcoming leaves, return-to-work dates, extensions, and modifications.
• Utilize vendor and HR reporting and analytics to track trends, pinpoint risks, manage costs, and enhance effectiveness.
• Enhance data tracking and reporting through HRIS and leave management systems.
• Provide consistent reports and analytics to senior leadership.
• Maintain relationships with leave, disability, workers’ compensation, and accommodation vendors.
• Ensure compliance with FMLA, ADAAA, PWFA, USERRA, Workers’ Compensation, state leave laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Identify opportunities to lower costs and boost program efficiency.
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related disciplines.
• 10 years of professional experience, including over 7 years in HR operations, benefits, or leave administration.
• Proven leadership skills and experience with multi-state compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state disability and leave laws, encompassing FMLA, ADA, and PWFA.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Capability to educate management on absence management policies.
• Proficiency with HR management systems such as Workday and leave case management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in assessing and recommending improvements to leave, disability, accommodation, and return-to-work programs.
• Exceptional case management and follow-through capabilities.
• Experience in leading initiatives for process enhancement.
• Solid planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
