This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Oversee the strategic management of US health, welfare, retirement, executive, time-off, wellbeing, and ancillary benefit programs.
• Drive benefits strategy, design, evaluation, administration, and compliance.
• Collaborate with P&C, Legal, Finance, Payroll, vendors, and Global Compensation & Rewards.
• Evaluate program performance, utilization, employee needs, and market benchmarks.
• Lead the US Benefit Committee, presenting recommendations for benefit plans and cost-saving initiatives.
• Manage relationships with health and welfare carriers and vendors.
• Create budgets, conduct data analysis, report on benefits, and monitor expenses.
• Perform benefits audits and ensure compliance with HSA/FSA, DCP, 401(k), pension, ACA, PCORI, and ARPA regulations.
• Develop and deliver benefit communications, overseeing annual US enrollment activities.
• Guide and advocate for employees seeking benefits information.
• Oversee and manage the complete leave lifecycle, including ADA/accommodation and state/federal leaves.
• Track leave processes in Workday, ADP, and vendor systems; communicate leave status to employees, P&C, and management.
• Reconcile and process monthly group health and welfare benefits.
• Support benefits-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions/divestitures.
• Maintain compliance records and prepare necessary legal reports.
• Provide support and mentorship to employees and the P&C team.
• Implement compensation programs and offer insights and recommendations for the North American market.
• Analyze compensation data from Mercer and other market sources.
• Assist in developing salary structures and managing annual compensation processes.
• Offer compensation analysis and guidance to business leaders and P&C partners.
• Execute total rewards initiatives and support job evaluation and compensation practices throughout North America.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources management (preferred qualification).
• 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, focusing on employee benefits.
• 3+ years of experience in compensation.
• High level of ownership, confidentiality, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to forge strong partnerships, influence decisions, and clearly communicate complex topics.
• Exceptional verbal presentation and written communication skills.
• Strong creative thinking abilities with a knack for developing practical solutions.
• Capability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
• Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing work for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient computer skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Primarily desk/computer work, with some light lifting and bending involved.
