Benefits Calculation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Compute and code offsets as well as adjusted Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits within Navigator.

• Notify plan members regarding overpayment amounts with clear verbal and written explanations.

• Follow up with plan members to secure reimbursement for overpayments.

• Negotiate acceptable repayment plans when necessary.

• Process claim recoveries using Navigator.

• Provide value and support to customers as a member of the National Life, Disability & Wellness Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to show empathy while delivering challenging messages.

• Experience in calculating disability benefits.

• Strong mathematical capabilities.

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Ability to read and interpret group insurance contracts and apply their provisions effectively.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Willingness to continually learn from both successes and failures.

• Openness to change and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Bilingualism in English and French is advantageous.

• If the successful candidate resides in Québec, proficiency in both English and French is necessary to support clients from various provinces outside of Québec.

• Experience with Navigator is a plus.
