Benefit Service Center Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming calls and initiate outgoing calls to employees regarding inquiries about benefits.

• Provide coverage for the Benefit Service Center during specified business hours in the Pacific Time Zone.

• Investigate and address questions related to coverage, claims, and plan alternatives.

• Create, manage, and monitor service tickets within internal systems.

• Communicate with insurance providers to resolve issues for employees.

• Deliver professional and courteous service to clients, employees, brokers, carriers, and internal team members.

• Ensure employee confidentiality while complying with data privacy and security standards.

• Assist with additional administrative or service-related tasks as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be located in the Pacific Time Zone, including California or another West Coast area, or be able to consistently work during Pacific Time business hours.

• An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A Health and Life Insurance License is mandatory.

• Experience in a call center and/or worksite benefits is essential.

• Previous experience in customer service or a call center is preferred.

• Strong preference for candidates with a background in insurance, employee benefits, or worksite benefits.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.

• Capability to handle multiple inquiries and priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), web browsers, databases, and phone systems.

• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting while maintaining consistent availability during Pacific Time business hours.

• Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with a genuine desire to assist others.

• Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented with multitasking skills.

• Bilingual skills are an advantage.
