Behavioral Threat Assessment Manager

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain thorough threat research on a regional basis.

• Identify, investigate, analyze, and manage threats directed at executive staff, employees, and the broader partner community as instructed by the client.

• Create actionable and succinct threat analysis products promptly to inform cross-functional teams, executive staff protection, and enterprise-wide security operations.

• Conduct open-source intelligence investigations utilizing public and government databases, social media, and deep/dark-web sources to identify and evaluate known or emerging threats.

• Manage relationships between the safety and security team and local law enforcement partners, as well as other investigative, research, intelligence groups, and vendors.

• Collaborate with customer service and operational teams to facilitate threat intake, response coordination, and case resolution.

• Maintain global situational awareness of potential and developing threats and prepare impact analyses.

• Engage in complex security incidents involving multiple stakeholders, including those lacking threat and intelligence experience.

• Lead Threat Management Team meetings to coordinate responses to urgent high-level threat issues.

• Assist in program development through the creation of workflows, threat methodology research, and planning products.

• Communicate effectively with senior executives and entry-level employees.

• Simplify complex security issues for specific audiences.

• Adhere to all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess the legal right to work in the country where this position is based without requiring visa sponsorship.

• 7-10+ years of experience in threat analysis, preferably in behavioral threat assessment, threat management, and Law Enforcement.

• Experience in supporting a comprehensive threat management program with direct involvement in conducting investigations, intelligence collection and analysis, and case management.

• Extensive experience in utilizing open-source research, criminal background information, and various online investigative techniques.

• Current membership (or ability to become a member) of professional threat assessment organizations (e.g., Association of Threat Assessment Professionals).

• Willingness to work non-traditional hours (e.g., nights, weekends, or holidays) and respond to urgent or time-sensitive situations.

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills as demonstrated during the interview process.

• Must be a highly adaptable and flexible professional with a strong, positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to establish partnerships and work collaboratively across functions.

• Proficient in Google Workspace applications and macOS, with experience in leveraging AI tools to boost productivity.

• Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

• This is a full-time role based in the APAC region (Singapore or Australia), typically consisting of four 10-hour days, often requiring one shift on a weekend day as job duties necessitate.

• Current membership in APATAP is preferred.

• Openness to pursue the CTM certification exam according to the standards of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) is preferred.

• A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred (with years of experience potentially substituting for educational qualifications).

• International experience and/or regional expertise in APAC is preferred.

• Proficiency in languages and cross-cultural fluency are preferred.

• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and trend tracking is preferred.

• Experience drafting planning products and policy documentation is preferred.

• Experience in training and exercise design or facilitation is preferred.
