Behavioral Health Project Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Provide oversight and assistance for the Children's System of Care across state agencies, Mercy Care, provider organizations, and the children and families served.

• Offer technical assistance, consultation, and operational support to behavioral health providers.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to assess provider needs and enhance outcomes.

• Lead assigned projects from initiation to completion, encompassing project plans, timelines, milestones, progress tracking, and resource coordination.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in specified CSOC program areas.

• Review contracts, program requirements, and operational processes to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards.

• Oversee the development, monitoring, and reporting of key performance indicators, operational metrics, and stakeholder deliverables.

• Create reporting mechanisms to identify system trends, monitor performance, support decision-making, and address emerging service needs.

• Analyze complex data and present findings, recommendations, and action plans to leadership and stakeholders.

• Address inquiries related to care coordination and the delivery of behavioral health services.

• Assist in the development and implementation of training regarding Children's Population and Children's System services and processes.

• Provide consultation and technical assistance to provider agencies on policies, procedures, contracts, quality standards, member record documentation, and regulatory expectations.

• Conduct provider reviews, including record evaluations, staff interviews, and client interviews.

• Facilitate meetings, workgroups, presentations, and training sessions.

• Engage in community-based activities and travel throughout Arizona as necessary.

• Support all Mercy Care lines of business associated with the Children's System of Care.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in the behavioral health sector.

• 1-3 years of experience in project management, meeting deadlines, and successfully executing complex initiatives.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Ability to navigate both internal and external technology systems.

• Must reside in Arizona.

• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time within Arizona.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Proven capability to build collaborative partnerships and effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data and formulate actionable recommendations.

• 2+ years of experience within the Arizona Medicaid Behavioral Health System.

• 1-2 years of experience collaborating with key child-serving systems, such as Child Welfare, the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Juvenile Justice, or educational systems.

• Familiarity with Mercy Care lines of business, including ALTCS, DCS CHP, DDD, and ACC-RBHA.

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
