Behavioral Health Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate the admission and transfer of patients from hospitals and clinics.

• Apply clinical judgment and established criteria to guarantee the appropriate level of care.

• Work in collaboration with intake teams, physicians, nursing personnel, and hospital departments to ensure timely and suitable placements.

• Supervise patient flow, monitor delays, and contribute to enhancing access processes.

• Act as a liaison among facilities, patients, families, and care providers.

• Manage referrals from initial submission to final acceptance within a 45-minute timeframe.

• Ensure adherence to EMTALA regulations, Lifepoint Health policies, and quality standards.

• Coordinate behavioral health transfers across 18 locations within a 24/7 centralized transfer center.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Compact LPN License.

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Behavioral Health or Emergency Department (EmPath Unit).

• Experience in Critical Care with Behavioral Health patients.

• Access to high-speed internet with at least 50 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download speeds.

• Exceptional communication abilities.

• Strong dedication to patient-centered care.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards, EMTALA, Lifepoint Health Ethics and Compliance policies, and quality initiatives.

• Robust clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.

• Typing speed ranging from 30 to 40 words per minute.

• Successful completion of Internet Speed and Basic Computer Competency Assessments.
